Hah, I’m still still alive.

So the blog pree much just died after exams. Not only did I lose inspiration to shoot more photos, just recently I inadvertently deleted EVERY PHOTO I’VE EVER TAKEN FROM MY CAMERA. All 10GB of photos. So that shot my will to take more photos down even more. Though soon I’ll probably take more photos. When I get inspired again.

In other news I got a computer for free, all I had to do was fix it and it was mine. Which I did gracefully :) .  The specs aren’t even that bad. Just gotta upgrade the RAM and stick a video card in there and I’m laughin :D

So that’s all for now. If anyone stands by this blog, don’t expect the usual updates that were in the beginning :( I’m currently working on rebuilding what inspiration I have left after being an idiot.

Peace.

I’m still alive.

Unfortunately I’ve been so busy with school that I’ve barely touched my camera since November started.

Just thought I’d check in here for anyone I don’t know who reads the blog, if any. I’m still here, alive and kicking!

More kicking though.

YAY, EXAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMS

Halloween! Fire works! TWISTED PLASTIC

Per an homage to the Twisted Metal series and its hilarious awesomeness, I present to you:

TWISTED PLASTIC

backyard style, with no actual movement or skill involved, but rather who uses fireworks more awesomelyandefficientlyandohmygodsupercrazyrunonsentence

Pictures!

(Disclaimer on visual noise and blurriness: I was not using a tripod at all, and there were several occasions when a firework would should near my direction)

And here’s the galley if you want to look at a specific photo enlarged for a long time because they’re so amazing oh why thank you

The Green Lasery Bastard strikes again!

Alright, well, this one is dedicated to mike and karlie. Muahahahahaha.

Lol, photobucket.

I remember a long time ago I went to sign up for photobucket and it had a time window you had to be within to register. I think it was something stupid like from 10am to 2pm you were only allowed to register. I don’t remember for sure, so don’t quote me on the times, but it sucked a lot of balls.

It also took way too long to get to this blog post. The photos tonight were actually taken on the 20th and 21st. Blame it on midterms.  And an english presentation UGH *shiver*

Anyway, so I thought I would upload all my pictures to my newly created photobucket account, when I realized I really don’t feel like learning another site. So here’s an extremely delayed blog post!

Wow, I just found a super efficient way to post a lot of photos. Feck yeah! Although it doesn’t let me post little captions on them… Maybe it does. I’ll edit after the post if it does.

AFTERPOST EDIT: Yep, I can add captions to the photos still, but you have to hover the cursor over the photo to read it. And please, click to enlarge. They’re much more awe-inspiring that way :)

Spins!

School. The bane of my blog life. Although it’s to be expected, almost being in my midterm ocean. Here’s some light painting, liberating some of my stress! Woo!

The following are me sparking lighters, swinging lightsticks around, and maybe even tying them to a ceiling fan (:O but you didn’t hear it from me!)

Me trying to jump the fire from hand to hand.

Me doing a better job at that.

Me me me!

Aw yeah. The ceiling fan looks pretty bomb.

Yeah! Photos!

Well, I think my original plan of updating every single night has gone down the drain. I think I’m gonna try and sit at a nice update-whenever-I-feel-like-it-but-still-update-a-l0t rate. At least 3 times a week hopefully. (wow this weekend has been so blurry. woo tequila!)

The majority of these were walking to the gas station. Then we went to the bar and I left my camera at home.

Here we go!

Not many at all tonight as compared to the last few posts.  And I’m tired as hell too. Peace!

I like my light toys. But I need more. Or more combinations. Or MOAR MOAR MOAR

I’ve effectively exhausted all the different color lights I have, except for these new ones I picked up. They have several different color settings, and one of them PULSES all the colors. *drool* I’m excited for these photos. I also picked up a tripod, so I can actually focus in on stuff way more easily (I was holding my camera before, and also sitting it atop my fridge. yeah. tripod works excellently), for better photos.

As I mentioned in the post-before-last-post, I’m only going to comment on photos if I feel they need an explanation or if I want to express how much I love them.

A re-do of the doorknob shot I posted in one of my earlier posts. I like the in-focus shot much, much more.

Almost like a scorpion…with wheels. Oh god what have I created

And here comes the pulsing setting. Aw yeah.

SO MUCH COOL

Freeze painting is so cool.

HUH

YEEEAAAAAAAH PULSING SETTING

And, I finally realized something. I have a camera. Why aren’t I shooting normal photography? I’m missing out on some pretty cool shit here.

Shot in direction of my house, around 10:30am.

Same shot, next day, around 12pm.

Man, I need to get a shot close up of the yellow-blinkers. Some serious light bending happens there.

Not my thoughts as a whole, but it’s definitely crossed my mind a few times.

Nothing like shameless advertising!

Bored on the bus.

BORED IN AWESOME MATH CLASS

As boring as it sometimes may be, I really do enjoy taking photos of the ground. Huh. Weird, right?

Slideshow!

I decided it was time to make a slideshow with some of my favorite photos (photos overall, not just kinetic photography) and photos of friends and whatnot. Initially I had a downtempo track overlay, but then I stopped being depressed and threw in some electro house. YEAH!

Description from youtube:

A slideshow of pictures I’ve taken (or taken of me). It is a mix between my favorite photos, light painting, and photos of friends.
Quality disclaimer: The song didn’t sound like shit before and after I rendered it. Youtube! *shakes fist*
Also, try hard to ignore window glare in some of the photos. I’m not really going for super quality with this, more just getting these photos out there for people (and my friends) to enjoy.
If you want to see some of these photos in their true actual glorious quality, visit my blog. It’s mostly about light painting and the occasional rant, but hey, there’s some cool pictures.

It’s HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE

I’ve been having a really shitty weekend, again, but it’s gotten better now. Now that I’ve finally found BULB MODE ON MY CAMERA! WOOO! I could’ve sworn the manual said bulb mode did not exist on the camera, and even when I looked for it, I couldn’t find it. I happened to stumble upon it in math class today. Which reminds me of an ode I need to make to math: why do you get more awesome every day?

To the pictures! As I said I’ve been having a shitty weekend (actually that was one of the worst septembers of my entire life) so I haven’t gotten around to updating AT ALL. But I’m feeling pretty manic right now, so what’s the harm? NONE. THAT’S RIGHT. YEAH. YEEEEAAAAAAAH.

I’m only going to caption a photo if I feel something needs explaining or if I WANT TO EXPRESS MY LOVE FOR SAID PHOTO.

Let’s start off with some Sep. 30th photos:

And now, Oct. 4th photos. The day I FINALLY FOUND BULB MODE IN MY CAMERA. (It doesn’t really make much of a difference from timed exposures, other than I control when the shutter opens and closes entirely– instead of it sitting on a timer. It makes vehicle shots SOOOOOOOOOO much easier)

YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
